By moderate, it doesn't mean that we practice islam "moderately" as in not fully, quite the opposite since we try to follow it fully. Therefore one who does NOT practice Islam fully (i.e Islam minus Politics)then he is negligent in the deen, not moderate. As I said, all it means is we do not practice Islam in a negligent way, nor in an extreme way.
